Today has just been one of those days. Tonight, Ben is out of town and so I decided to take the kids to Chick-Fil-A for FHE. Danny had a blast playing in the little play ground with kids but I was paranoid he was going to have an accident. He didn't but when I took him to go potty he didn't aim very well, and I got a nice stream on my leg. Lovely. Oh well- at least he didn't have an accident in the playground.
Caleb is so fun and cute. He "army-crawls" everywhere. It is so funny to watch. He does this thing where he gets down on one shoulder and then kicks himself forward. He has just started crawling straight forward but he looks like a frog with a numb leg. I'm sure he will get it soon enough. He is already getting into EVERYTHING. He doesn't seem to interested in toys anymore, it's everything else that he wants. He has also started jumping in my arms whenver I hold him. The nice thing is that he is always SO happy. The bad thing is that he hasn't been sleeping well at all. He slept through the night a few months ago but I've decided that he was just teasing me.
Danny decided to go fishing in the sink. Even with all the recent potty training issues- he is such a cutie. In other news- Danny got a scholarship to preschool. In actuality we have been worried about his speech since speech problems tend to run in my family so we had him tested. He is behind in his speech and in his gross motor skills. So he is going to go 4 days a week to one of the district preschools and specialists will take him out once a week to work with him I'm excited for him but nervous at the same time. I mean 4 days a week seems like a big jump. He is such a little social butterfly so I'm sure he'll love it.

Oh, your poor flowers! That is so sad, but I'm glad they are growing back. RE, potty training..with boys, it is mostly about a control issue. He'll do it on his own time, is my guess. Every kid reverts and has accidents. You are doing the right thing (even though it's super hard!) Just being patient and loving...he'll get it eventually if you are consistent! :)
I loved reading all about you guys. Your house is so cute, sorry about the flowers though! Those 2 boys are darling. Hang in there with the potty training. I don't know what to tell you...just keep perservering, and asking him all the time if he needs to. Callum does a pretty good job most of the time now, but if he is with friends or something he just gets excited and thinks he will miss out on something if he goes potty.
It's scary to think of them going off to preschool...I am going to die with Callum out of the house!!
I sure miss you Angie, you're just the best. love ya
Cute kids angie.
We had a similar storm a few months ago, when all of my lovely succulents got holes in them from the gigantic hail.
I'm sure Danny will learn sometime. How many kids do you know in high school that aren't potty trained? Not many.
Love ya
Hey Angie, I found your blog thru Danielle's...hope it is okay! Looking forward to reading about your life...your boys are sooo cute!!
Your house looks so cute, but sorry that your flowers got destroyed, I have never seen hail so big. I hate potty training, I wish I had some advice, but for us it just took time and it finally clicked. Sorry about the pee on the leg, but thanks for the laugh.
Oh, your poor pretty flowers! Sad. My flowers got all beat up too from that same hailstorm. Brianna and I actually watched them get all hammered, but I wasn't about to jump out there to save them. They just now a few weeks ago started blooming just like before (thank goodness!).
hey angie - it was good to see you today. i tagged you on my blog - check it out and see if you want to play along - i won't boycott you or anything if you don't ;)
