Summer Weddings

This summer two of my bestest buddies got married. In June I flew to Utah solo (first time leaving Caleb) and stayed with my sister. It was a super quick trip- I left late Friday afternoon and got back Saturday night but it was so worth it. I got to have some much needed sister time and had so much fun seeing old friends. I was really scared to leave my babies but it ended up being an absolute blast. I went so I could go to the wedding of my bestest friend from high school- Ali. I hadn't seen her in a couple of years and it had been at least 5 years since I had seen her family. Many of you know that I lived in Paris for 3 years when I was in high school. My dad was a Mission Pres so him and my mom were always travelling to zone conferences and such. So while they were gone I would stay with my second family- we'll call them the "S" Fam. They were SO good to me and I love them all so much.

Ali and Brian. It was so wonderful to see her happier than I've ever seen her. And that's saying a lot because Ali is one of the happiest people I know. Brian is a great guy and seems just perfect for her.

I must admit that I expected the house to be in shambles when I got home but not only had Ben taken care of the boys, he had started some laundry, mowed the lawn and done dishes. I was very impressed. He's a Super Hubby!!!
Ali's hubby is from Littleton so they had a reception here too. I got to bring my whole fam so she got to see my boys. It was so great seeing her again.

I was supposed to go to the wedding of one of my closest friends and roommates from college, Jenny, but unfortunately my blasted gallbladder interfered. MAJOR BUMMER!!! I had my plane tickets, a car rental reservation and everything. But I had to cancel it all due to my extreme pain and pending surgery. A couple of my other roommates went so it would have been a mini reunion. Dumb internal organ!

Isn't she GORGEOUS?!? They are such a cute couple. I can't wait to meet him. I heard the wedding and all went perfectly. I'm so happy for her- I'm just bummed I missed it!
