Trip Down Memory Lane

Last Friday I decided to take my kids to the park that I used to play at when I was a little girl. It's only about 15 minutes away and yet I've never taken them to it. I grew up across the street from it and have many fond memories of spending hours there with my friends. I was amazed at how much hasn't changed in 20 years.
This slide is new but that's about the only change. The house I grew up in is in the top left corner hiding behind the big pine trees.
If you look close enough you can see the nice slobber string. He's getting 4 teeth on top just in time for his 1st birthday on Wednesday.

This is the same dolphin that I used to play on 20+ years ago. It does have a new paint job but I think it's doing pretty well for being that old.
There is this pond in the middle of the park that has always had ducks and geese. We had fun feeding them. Danny got a bit nervous cause they kept getting closer and closer in their eager-beaverness to get the bread.
Caleb was fascinated and actually stayed still in his stroller for more than 30 seconds.
All in all it was a lot of fun and I think I'll go back soon. =)

I can't believe caleb will be ONE!! They grow up way too fast. Next time you go to that park, give me a call--I've never been there and I'd love to see where you grew up! So fun1
