Easter 2009

I just love this picture of 2 of my boys. Caleb has a nice looking scab on his nose and upper lip because he decided to try and get out of our wagon face first onto the concrete. He didn't fall far and they weren't moving, but it still left quite the mark. Of course it was the day before I had an appointment to get their pictures taken at Target. Luckily the scab wasn't too bad the next day and foundation hid it pretty well. =)
Caleb is officially 18 months now and he is getting so big. He is talking and understanding more and he is still quite the little rascal. Things on the counter or kitchen table are no longer safe from him. Danny just can't escape the little bugger. We sure love his sweet smile and giggle though.
We had quite the Easter weekend. First an egg hunt with the ward on Friday, then on Saturday dying eggs and having another hunt with my brother, Jeff, and his family, and then a ward activity. This is what the men did while we were busy dying eggs- a puzzle. Ben and Jeff actually hate dying eggs so this worked out okay.
Dying Easter eggs with the cousins. Danny was so sweet, as we were driving over to my parents' house for the celebration, Danny said that his tummy hurt cause he was so happy and excited. He just loves his cousins.

That is one sweet and happy boy. Of course when we got home after all the excitement, he just LOST it and cried about EVERYTHING. Oh well, luckily it doesn't happen TOO often, meaning more than 4 times a day. JK =)

It was pretty cold and rainy so we had the Easter egg hunt inside. It was pretty interesting because we had 90 plastic eggs in 2 rooms. We'll just say they weren't hidden extremely well and the entire hunt didn't take too long.

It was perfect for Caleb and he just loved walking around and spotting eggs. One of his favorite things to do now is to "clean up" or dump things out of a bucket and then put them back in. So Caleb just loved "cleaning up" the eggs.

Then bright and early this rainy morning, the boys got up to see what the Easter bunny had brought them .

I also got to teach a lesson about Christ to my Young Women and I loved it. Teaching is hard but I love that it forces me to study about all the various topics I'm going to teach about.

So now it is Easter night and Ben is on his way to Little Rock, Arkansas for a business trip. Not exactly the best ending to a wonderful weekend. Ben sat down and showed Danny on a map where he was going to be, because last time Ben was out of town Danny got so sad every night when “Daddy was supposed to come home”. It's always rough when Ben is out of town but I'm sure we'll be fine- it might just mean earlier bedtimes. =)
Happy Easter everyone!!!

I think kids have a knack for hurting their faces right before pictures. Hope you can make it through Ben's business trip, that would be so hard. Good luck.
