A Doggy and a Dragon

We have two new members of our family. A dog and a dragon. Danny has decided that at least once a day he is a doggie. He crawls around the house barking and will only answer me if I call him "Doggy." Caleb has also discovered a new sound that he likes to make- it is a quiet airy growl/gag sound. I think he sounds like a dragon. Danny and Caleb are both doing really well. Although, Danny seems to be continually going through an independence stage. Everything seems to be a battle with him- trying to get his shoes on, cleaning up, eating, sleeping, getting dressed, etc. For the most part he really is a sweet, fun little boy. Caleb is always SO smiley. He is at such a fun age. He has learned to jump in his exersaucer and it is so funny to watch. He loves to hear himself talk and will just make the loudest noises just to experiment with his voice.

In other news, Ben is in Philadelphia travelling for work. We'll see how I survive- luckily my parents live really close by. We are also trying to plan a trip to Yellowstone this summer. Ben has never been and we thought it would be fun. Unfortunately we didn't know that you had to plan months ahead so all the lodging in the park is taken. We are debating whether we should invest in camping stuff and a car top carrier or stay outside the park in West Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. Any suggestions are welcome!!

Your kids are so adorable! I can't believe how big they are! It doesn't seem like that long ago that we were both pregnant with our first at WyView...time flies!

Hey Angie- the kids look great. I think last time I went to Yellowstone we stayed in West Yellowstone. You can check out Rexburg that way too! We planned on going last summer on our cross country drive, but like you, we didn't plan ahead. Have fun. Good luck with Ben gone, it's always hard huh?

Angie, I know I see you all the time but it is fun to be able to see your blog. Emily is FINALLY starting to leave that independant psycho phase. I think that it is just an age thing that they will all out grow....eventually. I have never been to Yellowstone either so let me know what you find out is a good spot. We already have camping gear and the girls are excited to test it out this year. (somewhere other than the backyard like we ended up doing last year.)
