Free Days

This year we took advantage of the free days at the Museum of Natural History and the Zoo. Luckily we were able to go with my brother's family both times. I must admit that I almost didn't survive the museum- it was CRAZY! Danny loved it- at least loved running around with his cousins, and we got to spend time with them so that makes it worth it.
I swear- every tour group, daycare, summer camp, school group, etc. was at the museum that day.

The zoo wasn't nearly as bad- probably because most of it was outside, and it was in October. The only insane place was the Tropical Rainforest exhibit- I almost had a claustrophobic attack with the humidity, large crowds, and tiny windows to look through.

He looks pretty tired, doesn't he?


For some odd reason Danny decided that he REALLY wanted to see the camels and so would not let up until we saw them. Now camels are his favorite animal- Weird!

On a side note- whenever Danny is around his friends or cousins he goes temporarily deaf. He completely ignores me and will not listen. I had to resort to yelling at my little nephew to get Danny to come back cause Danny wouldn't even turn around and look when I said his name. It drives me NUTS! I don't know what to do. We have talked a lot about it, tried enforcing, etc. etc. and nothing. His preschool teacher says he does the same thing when he's with his little friends. Any advice?
